Re: [POLL (Closed)]- favorite STM32F1 board for stm32duino 08/2107

i think it is time to do two new polls
one for the boards, not only for the f1 but also for the f4
and one for the cores

i m curios about what is changing here

P.S: roger, why normal user are not allowed to do polls?

Re: changing the system clock

just tested and worked at the first upload, i also tried to change between HSI and HSE usign the on board button and it worked without any kind of problem, i may start liking cubemx I think that doing the same, but reading the hal api, would have took me a couple of hours, and obviously it wouldn't ...

Re: changing the system clock

interesting, I thought that you were using the MCO as clock source because a few days ago i checked the schematics of a few nucleo boards ( like the 401RE ) and i found it connected https://i.imgur.com/zmkhIVD.jpg could i ask you why is preferred the internal clock? from my little knowledge (i am an...

changing the system clock

hello, i recently get a nucleo 401RE. i never used this core since i always used roger's one with cheap boards. I immagine that the nucleo boards get the clock from the MCO of the stlink programmer/debugger I would like to do some test switching between the external and internal clock, just for fun ...

Re: shujaat: [SOLVED] Volatile Qualifier

I made a pull request, i know that maybe it won't be merged but it could be useful in the future https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/Arduino_STM32/pull/431 changed: 1295 hits in 125 files i decided to change not only the F1 folder but all, in the F4 folder many file was already using the correct ...

Re: [SOLVED] Volatile Qualifier

it is great to know that steve tracked the problem down and found a wordaround for it! :D

IMHO since i am a lover of the clean code, i would do as pito did, if it is easy, it works, why don't change it?
i always think that this is work we are cut off from the future

Re: stm32f103c8 or esp32 for a datalogger

$10 per board is still 500% more than the cost of a < $2 blue board. Op is not building a quad-copter, just some data logging and a few sensors and possibly a future WiFi interface. yep, the f103 is enough for this there is likely the port requirement for the desired libraries. i already have the c...

a) I think you are off by an order of magnitude. My readings suggest 30mS with a necessity approaching 50mS.

Re: stm32f103c8 or esp32 for a datalogger

You have to release the code, that means "do the internes stuff to keep the connection going" with yield() or delay(0) i have read that it is suggested every 200milliseconds to be very safe. Mandatory every 500 Ray i just discovered about the revision in esp32 but for now i think that the 3 euros le...
