If the NSA wants to gain access to your computer, there's not a lot you can do about it.
IMHO the only things that are vaguely secure are MCU's that have no external connections.
Even connecting via USB is a risk, as the stack could have bugs in it.

I think this new reverse engineering tool may be of interest to the stalwarts of the forum. Its going to be free and open source (albeit the source has not been released yet, but its written mostly in Java as far as I can tell, so even if they didnt end up releasing the source code, I'm sure some en...

Re: Site will be read only from Saturday 27th April
Ray I was hoping that doing a "Release" a few weeks ago would get around the lock down problem. But of course there will still be loads of links to the root of the code rather than directing people to the Release. I guess, I"ll need to switch to using a different branch for my own changes, as I occa...

Re: Site will be read only from Saturday 27th April
Guys I don't necessarily think my core is completely dead. I just don't have time to check all the PR's or solve all the issues. Every PR need to be tested on real hardware, if possible. The minimum I have to do is to pull the to a local branch and then check it compiles on several, or all of the ta...

Re: Site will be read only from Saturday 27th April
Just some additional notes I have sent out system wide message via the Admin login, where an email would have been sent to all users, letting them know what is going to happen. That email probably went out about a month ago (I can't remember the precise date) I've also posted about end-of-life last ...

Re: Fix: Ethernet_STM-master fails with W5200 chip
I eventually found the cause of the blocking i sometimes observe. My application has a web server and also a NTP client. The latter uses UDP. I spotted the problem in a TakeSemaphore() call in the web server module, that blocked because of a missing GiveSemaphore() in the UDP module. So please chan...

It’s probably not the same thing, but I received a pair of hiking socks from a vendor in Australia, which I had not ordered. I don’t even know who sent them, all I know is the post code of the vendor, but they must have my details from PayPal, because the name and address and mobile phone number wer...

Re: New CPU+GPU+MPU chips from ST!
Ooh looks like a nice platform to run things like openelec, etc. FYI. Openelec does not seem to suooort newer RPi boards. E.g. it won’t even boot on the RPi 3B+ LibreElec May eventually support this board, since it supports the 3B+, but there are so many other competing boards e.g. OrangePI, that I...

Re: Site will be read only from Saturday 27th April
How about we apply for a discourse forum? The open-source nature of the community seems to fulfil the requirements: https://blog.discourse.org/2018/11/free-hosting-for-open-source-v2/ We should reach the 15+ contributors requirement, but I don't know about the bandwidth limit of 50k monthly page vi...

Re: Site will be read only from Saturday 27th April
Thank you Ray I still like you and hope the best especially for great minds and talents behind stm32duino and the time they dedicated in their life, we had arduino.cc then arduino .org then ..... long story short great minds must be compensated for their effort and wonderful work and that is my opi...
