strange but true - i've never visited there
then follow help->installation->
they've a number of locked threads(in browsing i've only seen ones with ?4?) it seems in each forum, something similar has been suggested (i think just for ) the beginners forum.
now wondering if the locked threads are customized for the forum it's in?

they list their expectations of what you should have done already, seems pretty similar.
their forum naming structure isn't too bad either.

Locking of threads is part of the standard functionality

I think I can learn a lot by looking at established forums like that one, e.g. They have an "read before you post" section
