and now of course this probably should be in off-topic, not a stm32 in sight
i once tried describing this in ascii, however as they say :-
note the power rails
it also explains why i buy breadboards in 4's or 5's or more, they vary the spacing and size of the joining tabs.

Re: managing width
at one time i'd mentioned and had reached the pcb stage of a U shaped adaptor for a uno to two breadboards
also had one idea for handling a hd4xxxx LCD displays requirement of backlight voltage ranges, 5v - 0v and 5v - -3.3v
i was muttering about i2c scanner and unseen devices, that's now in off topic(thx someone).
in the last picture above you can see my wiring for the i2c display without the sip.
also the set of wires to nowhere is for a st7735, 128x128, 160x132, 1.44", 1.8" etc, etc. picking a working driver is a bit like the st7735s v st7735r method.
i think there are 3 versions, for two it seems the colour of the tab on screen protector is the selection method, red or green

Re: managing width
You gotta be really careful, mixing those red and green tabs with those blue, red and black pills, anything might happen...

Re: managing width
wait until you get into esp32 documentation, you'll probably need Ketamine.
but then again you won't remember what you learned

Re: managing width
perhaps i wasn't clear enough.
the tab is on the screen protection, once that's off you've a problem
you need an indelible ink pen to write B or G or R on the back.
i didn't think of it (fast enough)
