[STM32F4] netduino2plus variant seems no more supported?

Post by fpiSTM » Mon Jul 30, 2018 12:51 pm

I've opened an issue on Roger's core to ask if netduino2plus is really always supported/used and then remove it if not:
https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... issues/544

Steve seems ok to remove it and propose to open the discussion to the forum.

I've opened it after doing a full build against all F4 variants then I saw that no sketches built properly.

Actually, I don't know why is this an issue.
Roger's and my repo both support this board.
And doing a quick search in the forum I see that couple of people (@Martinayotte, and others) have used this board.

From my point of view it is an issue if it do not build...
My concern is that it seems no more used/updated. Maybe I'm wrong...

Can you post the errors occurred during build?

Yes ! I've use stm32duino on Netduino2Plus for awhile back to more than 2 years ago.
I've made several commits back then to make it work with almost all its peripherals.

What are the issues ?
I've didn't use it since awhile ...

This one:

Code: Select all

arm-none-eabi-g++: error: {build.vect_flags}: No such file or directory
arm-none-eabi-g++: error: {build.vect_flags}: No such file or directory
it miss this line in boards.txt:

Code: Select all

netduino2plus.build.vect_flags=-DVECT_TAB_FLASH -DUSER_ADDR_ROM=(uint32)0x08000000
So, at least add it to be able to build properly. Value to be check

Anyway, this show it seems not very used as nobody report any issue or users do the fix in their side.
