Generic F103C & ST-Link (wrong selection MiniMaple) slay STM32 ?

Generic boards that are not Maple or Maple mini clones, and don't contain the additional USB reset hardware

Generic F103C & ST-Link (wrong selection MiniMaple) slay STM32 ?

Post by DM3YAB » Wed Dec 12, 2018 7:05 pm

Moin,
short overview:
I have created my own PCB. Program with ST-Link. Board selection = Genereic STM32F103C series. Well so far.
... I'm not paying attention: Maple Mini in the selection.
Program generated and transmitted with ST-Link. ... uuups do not work!
-> all settings back: Now ST-Link says:
Compiling 'Test_STM32' for 'Generic STM32F103C series'
Program size: 13.236 bytes (used 20% of a 65.536 byte maximum) (3,68 secs)
Uploading 'Test_STM32' to 'Generic STM32F103C series' using 'COM16'
Resetting to bootloader via Serial
STM32 ST-LINK CLI v2.1.0
STM32 ST-LINK Command Line Interface
No target connected
Unable to connect to ST-LINK!
The upload process has finished.
COM16 = USB from STM32F103C ;
---------------------------------------------------
OK. I will burn bootloader. https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... bootloader
CMD : stm32flash COM12
Interface serial_W32:57600 8E1
Faild to read ACK byte
Unexpexted replay from device an command 0x01
ST-Flash Loader >> says the same
Pleas, verify the boot mode config.
Boot0 = HIGH ; Boot1=LOW ; RESET [No USB COM16, really in the boat area.]

Is there any help, better solder in than new STM32?
Thanks for your help. Please for warning of too much trouble!

For uploading with STLink you don't need any COM port.
Both BOOT pins should be set to GND.
No target connected
Unable to connect to ST-LINK!
The upload process has finished.
means that your connection from STLink to target CPU is faulty. Check the wires.
Eventually try first STLink Utility to program the chip. If successful, then go to Arduino upload.

Moin,
OK, it's fine again. No cable defective!
Boot sequence by UART, tasted under different variations. Until Maple USB was no longer displayed.
Well --> Boot0 = HIGH and Boot1 = HIGH as well as Called ST-Link utility;
Connect : ST-LINK SN : ST-Link/V1_on_E: V1J13S4
Connected via JTAG.
Connection mode : Normal.
Device ID:0x410
Device flash Size : 128KBytes
Device family :STM32F10xx Medium-density
Disconnected from device.
Jäää Programming Complete. MCU Reset. Application started.

I had the "problem" several times. And have never been able to undo this.
Always a new STM soldered and the other discarded. I did not dare to ask now, soldered it is faster.

Seems a little too extreme...
