Can't install Windows XP drivers - What operation system supports the driver?
Hello,
i want to make a test with maple mini clone. I install the Arduino_STM32 folder in the hardware folder. When i want to start the install_drivers.bat i get allways the message: "wdi-simple.exe ist keine zulässige Win32-Anwendung".
I use WinXp with Sp3.
Does this support the maple mini driver?
Many thanks for every answer

Re: What operation system supports the driver?
Try to run the drivers install from WIN-XP-Legacy folder ---> in Arduino_STM32/drivers/win/win_xp_legacy/maple-dfu/.. and /maple-serial/..
..dfu is the driver for the bootloader
..serial is the driver for the Serial port (you will see Serial COMx in XP when the sketch prints something out via Serial.print()..)

Have you ran the BAT file with admin rights?

You could look at the original Maple IDE files etc

However, I'm not aware of anyone else on the forum who still uses Windows XP for this.

virtualbox, it's now rather infrequently.
once upon a time i upgraded a st-link on usb. alas usb devices are no longer visible.
as i'd never done it, i tried installing arduino and arduino_stm32 the other day, driver issues.

Was there a solution to the problem stated above about get the Windows message "wdi-simple.bat is not a valid Win32 application? I have the same experience but I am using Windows XP SP2 (instead of SP3).
Re: Can't install Windows XP drivers - What operation system supports the driver?
I found this folder
D:\IDE\arduino-1.8.7\portable\sketchbook\Hardware\Arduino_STM32\drivers\win\win_xp_legacy\maple-dfu
I use a IDE portable version, if you use the IDE installed you will find the hardware folder inside the sketchbook folder.
I believe that you should use the installer that you will find inside the folder.

Do the manual driver update from the device manager directly.
